Thank you so much for pulling off our amazing wedding, from bright sunny skies to a freak thunderstorm to sunny skies. Changing the ceremony spot with all my family, you guys pulled it off in a 30min to give us a fairy tale wedding that was so beautiful! Your whole family worked so hard to make it so magical. Words can't express how grateful we are! The entire week we spent at Cortijo La Presa was amazing! You guys are so lovely. Keep doing exactly what you're doing because your hospitality and kindness speaks volumes. We have had the best time ever! Now at the top of our list of favourite holidays. Our entire family loved it, and you guys too! From celebrating a birthday, the best wedding day ever! Going off on a safari ride, which none of us were expecting, but wow, we had a blast! Helping with the horses and learning their backgrounds and how you guys are providing them much better loving lives to live with your care. Honestly, we had the best time. Thankyou. See you soon. X

A beautiful hotel set in an olive orchard, Catherine and Jamie and their family are great hosts and made our stay very special , we loved the Spanish food and exploring the local walks and village. The location is between Grenada / cordoba and Malaga for days out too . We will def return!

As a Celebrant in Spain I get to officiate in many beautiful places. Cortijo La Presa is a very beautiful venue so privately tucked away that it makes an ideal place to hold a wedding ceremony. I had the pleasure of officiating the owners, Cathryn & Jamie's special day and before the ceremony began I walked around the grounds and noticed how many perfect little areas you could choose to set up a ceremony space! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the venue and more importantly the owners, such warm and genuine people!

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for a week, and it was nothing short of a perfect place for us both! We were made to feel comfortable and welcome, which is what you want at such a wonderful place with such wonderful views and scenery. Friendly and lovely staff also! I would totally recommend Cortijo de la Presa to anyone that is looking for a lovely relaxing, calming holiday with the people you love most. A 10 out of 10 experience from me and my girlfriend.

We stayed for a family wedding in May 2022 and were very impressed with Cortijo La Presa. The setting in rural Andalusia is absolutely beautiful, and the facilities are also excellent. The newly renovated swimming pool is stunning and the apartments are traditional yet comfortable. The BBQ area is a great place for the family to gather and there are plenty of logs for wood-fired cooking. The lack of light pollution also makes for fantastic night skies filled with stars. Cathryn and Jamie (and their family) are wonderful hosts and we enjoyed our stay greatly.

Fully equipped self catering accomodation in the midst of the Andalusian hills. Large swimming pool which we cooled down in after a pleasant trek through the valley below

We stayed at Coryijo La Presa to experience rural Spain and couldnt believe the breathtaking scenery and beautiful views every way you looked. The proprietors are friendly and very accommodating for every need. They were very welcoming. It felt like going home. Would recommend this beautiful residence for anyone seeking a truly tranquil break.

Excelente. La ubicación cerca de Rute, Priego y Nizaja. Aprovechamos para hacer rutas a caballo muy recomendable. El cortijo precioso y bien cuidado. Los apartamentos grandes con todas las comodidades. Zona de barbacoa y la de piscina espectacular. Una variedad de paseos por los olivos muy bonitos. La limpieza muy cuidada. La familia que lo lleva es encantadora. Muchas gracias por ofrecer el alojamiento perfecto. Volveremos.

I had a great time 
The main thing that made my stay enjoyable was when we always use to spend time together with the horses and chickens.
It’s really sad that we live soo far away from each other but we are really lucky and grateful for the time we did  have

I just wanted to thank you for the lovely stay and for taking me out every morning to spend time together with the horses and chickens. Me and my family had a great time and I was really sad to go home, although I did not get to spend many days with you all, I am still super grateful for the time that we did have together. Absolutely phenomenal – the perfect place to celebrate one of life’s biggest moments! We had our wedding at Cortijo La Presa in June 2025, and I am beyond happy that we chose to celebrate such a special occasion here with Cathryn and Jamie. I don’t have a single negative thing to say. From start to finish, they were incredibly professional throughout the entire planning process – always available, always willing to help, and offering invaluable input that made our wedding even better than we could have imagined. We hosted a three-day wedding with guests staying both at Cortijo La Presa and in nearby villas. All weekend long, Cathryn and Jamie handled everything seamlessly – from arranging guest transport to and from the extra houses, to serving food and drinks. They have an incredibly professional team around them, and the entire experience felt perfectly staffed, ensuring everything ran smoothly without a single hitch. The entire experience felt generous, both in terms of the catering and in how much of themselves they gave to us and our guests. The hosts and their team constantly went above and beyond anything we could have expected. They were always there to support us in ways we hadn’t even thought of, making every single moment magical. Thoughtful touches, like saving some of our wedding day decorations like menus, place cards etc. for us (something we hadn’t even considered at the time), mean the world to us now. We also hired Cathryn as our wedding planner – and she absolutely delivered! She coordinated with suppliers, florists, and other vendors with total professionalism, and everything turned out better than we could have wished for. As the bride, the greatest gift was the peace of mind Cathryn gave me throughout the day. She kept me updated on how everything was going, making sure I knew the status of each part of the event so I could fully relax and enjoy the moment. She made sure I had a mimosa in the morning, brought lunch up to my room, calmed my nerves before the ceremony, and guided both me and my father right up until we walked down the aisle. I can’t put into words how much that meant to me. All in all, I cannot recommend Cortijo La Presa highly enough to any future couples. Our wedding weekend was unforgettable, and we will cherish the memories forever.
